As you can see in this photo the Sturdy Stick has an item buff of Attack Up lv1 and Attack down lv1.

Buffs and Debuffs power up or weaken your character respectively and can be found on a variety of items and in-game abilities.

For the buffs that have a level after them, the higher the level, the stronger the effect. Buffs of the same type and level can't stack; but buffs of different names or levels can stack. Eg: Attack Lv1 (+80) and Attack Lv2 (+120) would equal +200 to the attack stat, but two identical enchant buffs or two Attack Lv1 buffs would not stack, or if a weapon has both an Ice Enchantment and KO ability, the enemy struck can turn into a snowman or get knocked out, not both.

Item Modification

Item Modification allows you to transfer a buff from one item to another, or remove a buff completely. In order to transfer a buff, the item will require an empty spot, the buff must be white, and of the same class. The cost for the buff transfer changes based on the type and level. Adding multiple buffs in the same item, increases the price for each buff being added. Remember that the material item used will be destroyed, so think carefully before transferring  any buffs into another item.

To remove a white buff or purple debuff completely, you can pay 400-1600 Happy Stars depending on buff/debuff, converting it into an empty space. Buffs that are in orange are permanent, and therefore cannot be removed.

An alternative payment is using Happy Tickets, rather than Happy Stars.

General Buff types

Skill+

Skill+ buffs give the equipped player that skill from the beginning of the match, like Rush+. Skill+ buffs available to an equipment type are tied to the button that the skill corresponds to. Weapons have A skills, Armor gets Y skills, and Headgear gets B skills. Items cannot have more than one Skill+ Buff (like Rush+ and Smash+). If the weapon, armor, and headgear all have Skill+ buffs, the player can learn a total of 9 skills.[1]

Skill Modifiers

These buffs are a more recent addition to the game. They have a range of effects that vary from increasing effect radius (Wide Dispel, etc.), increasing skill duration, as well as shortening warmup time.

Special Buffs

Special buffs work outside in combat, and can be found on any item on any class, with the exception of statuettes. Their role improves the player's equipment.

Debuffs

There are also debuffs in purple. They have opposite effect of their buff counterparts making them bad for battle. As a rule of thumb try to avoid wearing items with Debuffs on them.

Attack Up

Increases attack statistic for weapon.

Power Ups
Ambush Attack Up

Damage when attacking enemies from behind rises.

Anti-Material Up

Increase damage to material objects.

Bridges, castle barricades, castle gate, cannons, ballistas, rams, and ladders.
AP Damage Attack

Enemy AP is reduced in proportion to damage they suffer.

Construction Speed Up

Increases construction speed for towers, ballistas, ladders, cannons, and rams. Also, deconstruct enemy's towers faster. Having at least one of this buff transform a wooden hammer into a 24k Golden Hammer.

Lv1 = 15%, Lv2 = 30%, Lv3 = 45%
Smash Power Up

Enemies are sent flying even further during smash attacks. 

Smash, Rush, Charged Attacks, Wind Traps, Lightning Strikes, Bomb Rocks, Meteor Shower, Napalm, Cannon hits, Bird Tower blasts, Uppercut Attack, and Smash Effect.
Warrior Power Ups
Dash Attack Power-Up

Increases damage for Dash attack.

Rapid Stab Attack Power-Up

Increases damage for Rapid Stab attack.

Effects
KO Effect

Slight chance of knocking out enemies during normal or guard attacks.

Smash Effect

Slight chance of sending enemies flying during normal or guard attacks. Enemies that are guarding with a shield will be staggered.

Stun Effect

Slight chance of stunning enemy during normal or guard attacks.

Enchantment Effects
Fire Enchant Effect

Fire Enchant effect is added to weapon. Increasing physical damage to foes. Slight chance of burning foes, causing them to move in hectic chaos. Applying to a Mage weapon increase the strength and size of fireballs. If Dispelled, or used Super Enchant Attack (Warrior & Cleric only) effect returns in 15 seconds.

Ice Enchant Effect

Ice Enchant effect is added to weapon. Slight chance of turning a foe into a snowman, which is the equivalent of a KO effect attack. If Dispelled, or used Super Enchant Attack (Warrior & Cleric only) effect returns in 15 seconds.

Lightning Enchant Effect

Lightning Enchant effect is added to weapon. Slight chance of electrifying foes, causing them to move slowly. Electrified opponents have several blue lightning spikes surrounding the body. If Dispelled, or used Super Enchant Attack (Warrior & Cleric only) effect return in 15 seconds.

Wind Enchant Effect

Wind Enchant effect is added to weapon. Slight chance of staggering foes. If Dispelled, or used Super Enchant Attack (Warrior & Cleric only) effect returns in 15 seconds.

Crushers
KO Crusher

Attacking a knocked-out foe deals 2.0x damage.

Freeze Crusher

Attacking a frozen foe deals 2.0x damage.

Shock Crusher

Attacking a paralyzed foe deals 2.0x damage.

Stun Crusher

Attacking a stunned foe deals 2.0x damage.

Class Slayers
Warrior Slayer

Multiplies damage by 1.4x for all attacks against Warrior types.

Cleric Slayer

Multiplies damage by 1.4x for all attacks against Cleric types.

Mage Slayer

Multiplies damage by 1.4x for all attacks against Mage types.

Charged Attack+

Charged Attack is available from the start.

Smash+

Smash is available from the start with a random skill in the middle slot.

Spinning Blade+

Spinning Blade is available from the start.

Super Spinning Blade

Increase the movement speed of "Spinning Blade" and "Double Spinning Blade."

Rush+

Rush is available from the start.

Longer Rush

Extends the duration of Rush.

Dispel+

Dispel is available from the start. 

Wide Dispel

Widen the area of dispel.

Heal+

Heal is available from the start with a random skill in the middle slot.

Fast Heal

Shortens warmup time for Heal.

Sanctuary+

Guard Power Up

Raises guard power and reduces damage from physical attacks while guarding.

Lv1 = (+90), Lv2 = (+160), Lv3 = (+280)
AntiMagic Guard Up

Raises magic guard power and reduces damage from magic attacks while guarding.

Lv1 = (+90), Lv2 = (+160), Lv3 = (+280)
Power Ups
Falling Damage Down

Reduces damage from falling.

Get Hit & Gain AP

AP recovers according to the amount of damage suffered from an attack. 

Guard HP Recovery Up

Increases HP recovery speed while guarding.

Guard Move Speed Up

Mobility speed while guarding rises.

Uppercut Power-Up

When using the shield's Uppercut attack, increases damage and the distance enemies are sent flying.

Increase damage power of an attack while guarding.

Fast Guard Attack

Increase speed of attacks while guarding.

Defense power rises.

Anti-Tactical Power Up

Reduces damage from tactical gear (Cannons, ballistas, etc.)

Movement speed Increases.

Lv1 = 15%, Lv2 = 30%, Lv3 = 45%
Resistances
Ambush Reliever

Reduces damage from ambush attacks.

KO Rate Down

Increases defense against KO attacks, less likely to be KO'ed.

Smash Resistance

Decreases flying distance from smash attacks. Doesn't work for Smash Effect attacks.

Stun Rate Down

Increases defense against Stun attacks, less likely to be Stun.

Elemental Resistances
Fire Resistance

Reduces damage from fire attacks, including Magic Skill Attacks. Less prone to be burn from flames.

Ice Resistance

Reduces damage from ice attacks, including Magic Skill Attacks. Less prone to be frozen.

Lightning Resistance

Reduces damage from lightning attacks, including Magic Skill Attacks. Less prone to be electrified/shock.

Wind Resistance

Reduces damage from wind attacks, including Magic Skill Attacks. Shorter downtime from stagger.

Anti-Class Aid
Anti-Warrior Aid

Decreases damage by 1.4x  from Warrior types.

Anti-Cleric Aid

Decreases damage by 1.4x from Cleric types.

Anti-Mage Aid

Decreases damage by 1.4x from Mage types.

Max HP Up

Increases maximum HP.

Max AP Up

Increases maximum AP.

HP Recovery Up

Natural HP recovery speed increases and HP boost recovery time while standing still decreases.

AP Recovery Up

Natural AP recovery speed increases and AP boost recovery time while standing still decreases.

HP & AP Limit Up

Increases HP and AP amount. 

HP & AP Recovery Up

Increases HP and AP recovery amount.

Cannon Accuracy Up

Ballista and cannon shots are less scattered and more accurate.

Experience Up

Increases the amount of in game experience you gain for your accomplishments. This experience is used to "Level Up" during battle, giving you access to more abilities, more HP and more AP as your level increases. Experience gained by these abilities does not get added in to your point total.

Reduce Status Effect

Shortens duration of ailments. 

Team Skill Exp Up 

Increases the amount of in game experience you gain for performing team skills. This experience is used to "Level Up" during battle, giving you access to more abilities, more HP and more AP as your level increases. Experience gained by these abilities does not get added to your point total.
Increase is 2x.

Team Skill Power-Up

The effect of team skills increases. 

Warrior B Button Skills & Modifiers
Roar+

Roar is available from the start.

Fast Roar

Shortens the warmup time for Roar.

Rocketman+

Rocketman is available from from the start.

Quick Rcoketman

Shortens the warmup time of Rocketman.

Stone Throw+

Stone Throw is available from the start with a random skill in the middle slot.

Longer Stone Throw

Increase the effective distance for the "Stone Throw" skill.

Super Guard+

Super Guard is available from the start.

Dash+

Dash is available from the start.

Sacred Armor+

Summon Materials+

Summon Materials is available from the start with a random skill in the middle slot.

Power Ups

Cannon Shots Up

Adds extra ammunition to ballistas and cannons. No Effect on Bird Tower.

Lv1 = 38%, Lv2 = 69%, Lv3 = 100%
Conserve AP

Reduce AP cost of skill and slows consumption rate.

Conserve Team Skill AP

Reduces AP cost of team skills.

Parameter Boost

Boost all parameters(stats) a certain amount.

Lv1 = (+30), Lv2 = (+40), Lv3 = (+50)
Respawn Speed Up

Reduces respawn time.

Start from Level 2

Start the battle(in-game) at Level 2.

Shorten Cooldown

Reduces skill cooldown time.

Tactical Power Up

Increases damage dealt from Ballistas, Gatling Guns, Cannons, Bird Tower blasts, and Bomb Rocks. No effect on Battering Ram.

Happy Fun Time!
Happy Dance

Start dancing after standing still for a while, or pressing {RB} twice and selecting any command. 

V1 = Ballad Dancing, V2 = Rock Dancing, V3 = Pop Dancing
Special Finale

Change losing animation into a much happier scene.

V1 = Burning Stake, V2 = Pole Dancing, V3 = Houston, we have lift off!

Applying this to your material for Item Level-Up will allow you to earn more Item Experience Points. (TU11 and later)

Super Material

Using an item with this buff as the material for Item-Level Up will help boost the Maximum Level of the item.

Heroic Statue = Max Level 1
Legendary Statue = Max Level 2
Mythical Statue = Max Level 3
Weight Reliever

Lessen an item's weight by 1, making it easier to equip heavier items.
