So, I am thinking about playing the game again, which I am NOT a new player, I have just forgot about Happy Wars after it shut down on Xbox 360, and I remember vaguely someone wearing a Patapon themed hat, and for those who are wondering, Patapon is a game on the PSP, and I am wondering there were any hats themed after this game, if I have a false memory?
What's on your mind?

Have fun!
Morning everyone.
I am here to announce a new general subject that the Happy Wars Wiki will cover.
On E3 2015, Toylogic revealed their latest upcoming project, under the title "Happy Dungeons," a dungeon crawler Happy Wars spinoff with a similar vein as the Diablo series. As of right now, an Xbox One release has been confirmed for 2016. No other details about this game are known other than its gameplay (as attendees of E3 have footage of Toylogic representatives playing a devbuild of this game).
Feel free to post predictions and other related questions here (Already I have seen some non-wiki folk predict this will be F2P like HW).
Also, templates. The "Upcoming Game" infobar template will be needed for this wiki's page on the game, and major restructuring will need to be done on the wiki upon a couple of weeks following the game's release (categories for Happy Wars and Happy Dungeon).
Happy editing,
Eclipse.
So you know those images (classes and maps) that have those images that get highlighted around the edges when you hover over them? It seems that I found a page that may or may not have contributed to this.[[1]] I'm not really sure what to do with page, so I'll leave it to rest of you to decide.
It has come to my attention that there are pages that do not belong on the wiki and therefore should be deleted. The reasons can be that said pages contain too little info, contain content (but not as thorough) easily found on another page, or are ones own opinion (i.e. page created outside the forums). As such, we ask that you mark any pages that fall under this category. Examples [[1]] - [[2]].
If there are pages with similar content and titles, they should instead be merged with their respective pages.
Pages marked for deletion will be checked and confirmed, and will be deleted (or merged, whichever is more appropriate) at the end of the month (Pacific Standard Time).
I have a decent internet and Wi-Fi connection but I kept getting disconnected when I am halfway through a game or waiting for a new game to start in online multiplayer.
Xbox One, anybody else getting this issue?
January 24 at midnight GMT marks a huge milestone. For the first time, Toylogic are playing a (livecasted) match against the public. This time around, the Okami Clan serves as the combatants against Toylogic. Toylogic will be broadcasting the match via Twitch, although no specific details about the specified Twitch channel have been revealed (and will be on their Facebook/Twitter feed).
The match will be a 5v5 and series of 3 rounds (individual games) and will last an hour, with intermissions being where the devs answer questions.
Now as for me, I know the rosters for Okami, but not Toylogic. They have not been revealed.
Here is Okami's roster:
- Okami Amaterasu
- Okami Chibiterasu
- Okami Takaterasu
- Okami Eclipse
- Okami Vibez
Wish them luck, and may the best team win!
Title says it all. I had a run-in with the SVB (and won).
I exploited this valuable opportunity to capture and log assets valuable for the wiki. We now know a few of their members' stats and classes. Also, we will now know how they look!
So I (on the Japanese site) have been working on formatting transcripts for the campaign levels. I wish to do the same for the English site. You can check out my work so far at here, the Japanese page for the first story mission. The transcripts will detail words, actions, etc.
TL;DR/"I do not like Japanese text": Here is the formatting.
- 729MT: Words of each character will be written like this, in the exact way they appear in-game.
Actions that each character does will be identified in italics text. Also introductions will be handled in this manner.
- 729MT: This is a basic idea. Any refinements will be made on the fly.
For those of you who have heard of Reddit, good for you.
I ask this because Reddit has a HUGE Happy Wars community (and it's pretty active, I just heard of a Wartober gift from Reddit and verified it on Facebook). But I need advice.
What am I to do? How can we connect the wiki to Reddit (BTW, the Reddit comm is not sanctioned by Toylogic, MSGS, or any related party) in a way that would not piss off the community? I am pretty bad as an online diplomat. I could set up Reddit just to interact, but to introduce them to the Wiki? Not really.
Enlighten me. Or, if you would take the reins, do it.
I now have my decision on what to do with Wikia Maps. For one, it's about time that there has been some major addition to the wiki.
With the Steam version and everything (screenshots et.al), I believe that it is now possible to create strategy maps. These will be maps that detail every map element and its location (as well as a short sentence or two detailing its potential uses).
I will detail this eventually, so do follow if you show interest.
Not too long ago, I actually rendered some themes for the wiki. They are not applied yet. Today is when that changes. This is the preliminary stage for a poll that will be conducted for the wiki's new theme. In this stage, still more theme suggestions will be made as long as backgrounds are provided. From September 21 until October 10, 2014, we will be running a poll on the main page to see which theme will go on the wiki.
What do the themes look like? Here they are (if you did see my last post regarding wiki themes, you have seen three of them):
- Rainbow!
- Snowman!
- Twilight!
- And last but not least, Zodiac!
You can also vote to keep the current theme, or as I said earlier, suggest a theme (before the poll date).
The theme that wins first place will earn its rightful spot as the theme of the wiki! Second place will be the theme for the Japanese site.
Questions which I anticipate will be asked frequently:
- What happened to Coral and Desert?
- My computer runs slow as h*ll, and it was not really worth it to screenshot the backgrounds for these maps.
- What happened to (map besides the mentioned)?
- Play the Steam release and find out.
Not too long ago (a week, to be exact) I enabled Wikia Maps. For those of you who do not know what Wikia Maps is, this is essentially a mapping software where users can annotate (i.e. pin) certain spots on the map.
What I wish to do with this new feature is to use it for tactical maps that reveal certain points of interest. Things like choke points, map elements, and the like would be pinned on a hand-drawn map that does not contain any of the game's HUD elements.
I may expand this feature to other uses.
Have any of you realized where the AI names in-game come from?
Because I do. Most of them are actually Toylogic staff names.
Examples:
- Yoich.=Youichi Take(Director of Happy Wars; CEO of Toylogic).
- End.=Takashi Endo (Programming Support in Brawl).
- Nishi.=Takahiro Nishi (Former Game Arts sound director).
Shinya.=Shinya Abe (Credited under Programming in Brawl; didn't pay attention in this game)
Those are the only ones I know of. There is a correlation between the others. 2-go, and 9-dot, I am not sure.
My my, we're getting quite a few new people here I see. These past couple of months sees new names to the user list. Anyhow, we (the admins, myself included) appreciate all who are helping out this wiki. I hope you all continue to help us out at the still ever growing Happy Wars Wiki. In the meantime, while more people show up to this over time, why don't we start having some active forums?
